So…Ronny (my “first” babylove) tagged me in a post today entitled “My Girl”….so instinct, i read it. Started reading the poem and it reminded me of “our” story…well, freakin turns out IT IS OUR STORY! a little little embarrassed, i am. but it did make me miss him a little. wonder what he’s doing now?
“Tell u a story about a girl I know
Back in the day, used to rock shell toes
People used to hate, say she not that great.
But I never ever cared, she was a fat kid’s cake.
Side by side, like Bonny and Clyde
Summer time heat, winter time hide.
I’d think real deep, hoped she see me fly.
But it never ever happened and I wondered why.
Years passed over and we got alil older.
Used to get hot. she began to smolder
She was the Sesame and I was the Grover
But I guess it wasn’t meant to be,
4 leaf clover
Moved out my house and I went down south
Met this other chick, she was cuter than a mouse
Taught me how to kiss,
Taught me how to joust,
Taught me how to party,
And then she kicked me out.
Back to my house, OKC, South!
I was gone for a bit but I never really left her
Got to see another and it kinda upset her
Now im back baby. better than ever
But again I gotta leave
So I wrote her this letter.
O- City, I love you!
Forever your debtor”
“Used to get hot. She began to smolder”—wtf does that mean? & i really don’t understand the sesame street reference. but he did buy me a snuffleupagus shirt once. =D
